Penya Barça de Luxemburg (FCB World Federation) organized last Saturday the first part of the ‘Barça i Catalunya’ conference at its headquarters, the Centre Català de Luxemburg. After being held twice in Brussels (both parts of the talk) and once in Munich, it was the fourth time that the conference, promoted by the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, was held outside the country.
The president of PB Luxemburg and the Centre Català de Luxemburg, Jordi Gairín was responsible for opening the event. Afterwards, Salva Torres, vice-president of Confederació Mundial de Penyes, and Xavier Gamper, grandson of the founder of FC Barcelona, conducted the conference, with the technical assistance of Aksana Vayevoda. Toni Closa, journalist and expert on the supporters’ clubs movement, did not miss the event.
At the end of the event, the 2023 Penyista Cards of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes were distributed. The blaugrana entity also gave a plaque to the president of the PB Luxemburg as a souvenir. The good reception made the attendees make an appointment for the second part of ‘Barça i Catalunya’, which is planned for October.
