Last Friday, the premises of the Penya Barcelonista Montgrí i Comarca (Federació Empordà i Catalunya Nord) was filled with more than 100 people who did not want to miss the “Invulnerables” talk, by the activist Sister Lucia Caram. The event was part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the PB Montgrí i Comarca, and was attended by the president of this blaugrana entity, Joan Casas. The mayor of Torroella de Montgrí, Jordi Colomé, was also present.
The ‘Invulnerables’ talk by Sister Lucia Caram is one of the activities that the CSR Commission of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes has at the disposal of the supporters’ clubs. To date, it has already exceeded 130 performances around the territory. The talk raises awareness about child poverty and the need to assume co-responsibility among all, and presents a program that works to ensure equality towards minors, breaking the cycle of inherited poverty and promoting public collaboration.
Confederació’s support to Sister Lucia’s project in Ukraine
The relationship between Sister Lucia Caram and the Confederació Mundial de Penyes continues to strengthen. Recently, the activist presented at the Llotja de Mar in Barcelona her new book “Invited to rebuild. Ukraine, war and compassion”, in which she presents her project in the aftermath of the conflict in Ukrainian lands. Representatives of the Confederation were present at the event to support Sister Lucia Caram and this new project that seeks to promote the arrival of children from Ukraine to Spain. Also present at the event was the Spanish Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles.
