The PB Cambrils concludes the celebrations of its 65th anniversary

The supporters’ club from the Federació de Penyes de Tarragona Nord brought together members and friends at a lunch full of tributes and a festive Barça atmosphere

After a busy schedule of events since last autumn, the Penya Barça Cambrils concluded the celebrations of its 65th anniversary with a big lunch held last Sunday, April 12. The event took place at the L’Orangerie restaurant, where the Barça supporters’ club from the Federació de Penyes de Tarragona Nord gathered around 80 people. The event was attended by the president of PB Cambrils, Jordina Font, accompanied by all the members of the board of directors; the only one in the entire penyes movement made up exclusively of women. Representing the Club were board member Josep Ignasi Macià and former Barça player Pere Valentí Mora. The mayor of Cambrils, Oliver Klein, and the councillor for sports, Gemma Balanyà, also joined the penya on this very special day.

During the event, several special tributes were paid to people of great importance to PB Cambrils: Josep Maria Montoya, member number 1; Ramon Font, son of the penya’s first president; and Albert Puig, former youth team Barça player and a major collaborator with the supporters’ club. The presence of representatives from PB Marc Bartra of Sant Jaume dels Domenys, who attended the celebration, was also acknowledged. Furthermore, thanks to the collaboration of numerous local businesses in Cambrils, the penya distributed gifts among its members. The cutting of the commemorative cake for the 65th anniversary was also part of a very special day for PB Cambrils and all those in attendance.

Events and activities since the autumn

This lunch marks the culmination of the celebration agenda that PB Cambrils had prepared to commemorate these 65 years of history. On November 12, 2025, the staging of the first part of the conference series “Barça i Catalunya” kicked off the celebrations. This was followed by an organised trip to Montserrat mountain, the traditional solidarity vermouth for “La Marató de 3Cat”, and the second popular “calçotada” organised by the penya. Looking ahead to the coming months, the PB Cambrils hopes to host the second part of the “Barça i Catalunya” conferences and is also considering organising a trip for its members to attend a match of the men’s or women’s first team.
