One more year, the Peña Barcelonista Villabalter did not miss the appointment with its XVI Solidarity Christmas, an activity that has already become a tradition in these dates, and with which the entity spreads blaugrana passion in its community, distributes gifts and also organizes its drawing contest Blaugrana Christmas Exhibit. This year, the penya made five visits to social centers in three days, with the collaboration of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, the Federación de Peñas de Castilla y León, the San Andrés de Rabanedo Town Hall and FC Barcelona.
Five visits full of blaugrana passion
The first stop was at the State Reference Center for Disability and Dependency (CRE), where a talk-colloquium was organized on the 125th anniversary of Barça and then an audiovisual was projected that reviewed the best moments of the year that is about to end. A t-shirt was also given to one of the users of the center, who received it with great joy from the hands of the president of the PB Villabalter, Jorge Moreno, accompanied by other board members of the penya.
The next three visits had as protagonists the children and adolescents of the Cultural Center of San Andrés “Juan Antonio Posse”, the House of Culture of Trobajo and the House of Culture of Pinilla. There, members of the board of directors of PB Villabalter had the opportunity to talk about the 125 years, along with other topics of the blaugrana current affairs. In total, about 40 girls and boys participated in these visits, which were also attended by the mayoress of San Andrés, Ana María Fernández Caurel, and the councilor of Social Affairs, Amparo Blanco.
The tour of the XVI Solidarity Christmas ended at the Day Care Center for elderly people, where, as is tradition, there was a Christmas artistic performance shared by the users of the center and some penya members. The evening concluded with the 125th anniversary hymn, “L’escut al pit”. In all the visits, the PB Villabaler gave to each and every one of the participants gifts sent by the Confederació Mundial de Penyes and FC Barcelona.
X Blaugrana Christmas Exhibit
Once again, the XVI Solidarity Christmas of the PB Villabalter included its popular drawing contest among the participants of this initiative. The X Blaugrana Christmas Exhibit received a total of 77 drawings, among which the penya chose six winners in different categories. Their authors received a Barça shirt, and the drawings will also be used as Christmas greetings from the Peña Barcelonista Villabalter. Thus, the blaugrana entity closes the year transmitting and promoting the meaning and historical values of FC Barcelona, as well as its principles and purposes.
