The Peña Barcelonista Villabalter lived an intense weekend focused on the youngest members with the celebration of the XX Drawing and Painting Contest, as well as the 3-a-side Football Exhibition “Josep Maria Profitós” in U-10 and U-12 categories. Both activities, in which the Federación de Peñas de Castilla y León and the Confederació Mundial de Penyes collaborated, are already well established in Villabalter and throughout the municipality of San Andrés de Rablanedo, near León.
The activity began on Friday, when around twenty boys and girls showed their artistic skills with a blaugrana theme in the XX Drawing and Painting Contest San Isidro 2024, organized by the PB Villabalter. All participants, divided into the categories of children and juniors, received blaugrana gifts, and gift cards were also given to the winners. The jury was formed by the president of the PB Villabalter, Jorge Moreno, together with the board members Recaredo Fernández and Julio Alonso.
On Saturday, the 3-a-side Football Exhibition “Josep Maria Profitós” was held, with six teams divided in U-10 and U-12 categories. In addition to the awards to the winners and finalists, all the participants, who defied the adverse weather, received Barça gifts and lived an emotional day of sport and fellowship. This tournament pays tribute to the figure of Josep Maria Profitós, a prominent member of the FC Barcelona supporters clubs movement who was a great promoter of the grassroots football championships, and with whom the PB Villabalter maintained a very close relationship.
