The links fostered and encouraged by the FC Barcelona penyes movement, with the World Confederation of Supporters’ Clubs at the forefront, have once again become evident. The Penya Blaugrana de Sant Cugat del Vallès (Federació Vallès) and the Penya Solera Barcelonista de Calella (Federació Maresme) have twinned with the Penya Barcelonista Sant Andreu de la Barca (Federació Baix Llobregat). The official event took place in the social premises of the PB Sant Cugat and was attended by the presidents of the three penyes: Josep Maria Félez (PB Sant Cugat), Isidre Argelés (PB Solera de Calella) and Eva Maria Carles (PB Sant Andreu de la Barca).
This twinning with the PB Sant Andreu de la Barca comes after the PB Sant Cugat and PB Solera Calella already strengthened their ties in November 2021. Now, they have wanted to add the supporters’ club from Baix Llobregat due to the good friendship that unites these entities. The three presidents celebrated the agreement and highlighted its value in promoting the FC Barcelona spirit and also the important role that the supporters’ clubs movement has in it.
The points of the agreement
Under this twinning agreement, the three supporters’ clubs will share a commemorative plaque that will be handed over during the course of each year, depending on the anniversary celebrations of each of them. Similarly, on the anniversaries or events of the PB Sant Cugat, PB Solera Calella and PB Sant Andreu de la Barca, the presidents of the Federations of Maresme, Vallès and Baix Llobregat will always be invited, as well as the mayors and councilors of sport and culture of each municipality.
On the other hand, the three members of the current agreement expressed their willingness to add new penyes in the future, if the circumstances arise. They also stressed the importance of twinning arrangements like these to strengthen the clubs and consolidate their future, promoting their union and their ability to improve together.
Anniversary of the PB Sant Cugat in November
In the framework of the presentation of this twinning, the Penya Blaugrana Sant Cugat del Vallès announced that the celebration of its 44th birthday will take place on November 26, at the Casa Fuster in Sant Cugat. There, the president of the PB Solera Calella will present the commemorative plaque to his counterpart from Sant Cugat.
