The ‘Invulnerables’ talks with Sister Lucía Caram are back

The PB Capellades hosted the solidarity conference promoted by the World Confederation of Supporters’ Clubs and raised almost 800 euros for this project that fights child poverty.

The talks on the solidarity project ‘Invulnerables’, promoted by Sister Lucía Caram and her Foundation of the Convent of Santa Clara, visited the town of Capellades last Saturday to disseminate its fight against child poverty. With the help of the Penya Blaugrana de Capellades (Federació Anoia, Alt Penedès i Garraf) and under the management of the World Confederation of Supporters’ Clubs, the social activist gave a talk to explain this solidarity project created to help children at risk of exclusion.

The event, which was open to all residents of the village, took place in the Capellades theatre and was attended by the president of the PB Capellades, Josep Maria Mayans, and the local priest. In addition to publicising the ‘Invulnerables’ project, the talk served to raise funds for the cause: thanks to private donations, sales of Sister Lucia’s own book and the auction of a painting, almost 800 euros were raised.

Thanks to the impetus of the Confederació, the talk ‘Invulnerables’ will soon visit more entities throughout the territory to continue disseminating and strengthening its project. Those clubs interested in hosting it can send their request to sociocultural@confederaciopenyes.cat.
