Once again, FC Barcelona’s USA tour is stirring up the North American blaugrana fans, and especially the supporters’ clubs in this country, which belong to the FCB World Federation. Many of them will have many of their members seeing their idols live, and also have arranged pre-match meetings to share their passion for FC Barcelona. The supporters’ clubs hope to repeat the great success and the special moments they experienced during last year’s pre-season tour.
From San Francisco to Las Vegas
The first to enter the scene is the Penya Barcelonista San Francisco, who have organized a pre-match gathering for Barça-Juventus tomorrow in the purest American style: that is, in the car park of Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, starting two hours before the game. There, they hope to have a good time with all the Barça fans attending the match. Afterwards, they will all dye one of the stadium’s goals blaugrana to cheer on the team in their debut against the Italians.
Four days later, on 26 July, it will be the turn of the Penya Blaugrana Los Angeles for the match against Arsenal in this city. They will host a FC Barcelona reception at which two other Californian supporters’ clubs, Penya Blaugrana Fresno and Penya Blaugrana San Diego, are also expected to attend. Neither of them will miss the opportunity to attend the match to see Xavi Hernandez’s team against the gunners.
The highlight of this pre-season tour will come with the Clásico between the blaugrana team and Real Madrid on 29 July in Dallas. There, the protagonists will be the three Texan supporters’ clubs: Penya Blaugrana Houston Culers, Penya Barça Austin and Penya Barça Dallas. Together, they have organized a “Penya Party” on the eve of the match, where a great atmosphere is expected and, among other things, there will be raffles of Barça products. The following day, they will be in the stands of the AT&T Stadium.
Finally, the Penya Blaugrana Las Vegas will also be in town for the match against AC Milan on 2 August, which will bring the US Barça Tour to a close. The penya has organized a “Meet & Greet” the day before the match to which all the culers present in Las Vegas have been invited. The event will have special guests and will include a raffle.
Meeting on the East Coast
Even though the pre-season tour has not come anywhere near their territories on this occasion, the penyes on the Atlantic coast of the United States will also be mobilizing for FC Barcelona’s visit. Specifically, the Penya Barcelonista Nova York has organized a viewing party of the Clásico on 29 July with the presence of the Penya Blaugrana Garden State de Nova Jersey, the Penya Barcelonista Washington DC and the Penya Barcelonista Boston. It will be a great event that will also serve to kick off the new season and at which official FC Barcelona jerseys will be raffled, among other gifts.
