Two newly official supporters’ clubs wanted to celebrate the start of their journey within our Barça movement. They are the Penya Blaugrana de Folgueroles, from the Federació Osona i Ripollès, and the Peña Blaugrana de Verín, from the Federación de Peñas Barcelonistas Galegas. Both organised presentation events attended by their members and friends, showing that the strength of the supporters’ clubs remains unstoppable across all territories.
PB Folgueroles gets off to an enthusiastic start
Around one hundred people attended the official inauguration of PB Folgueroles, which was founded last November 2025 and made official this June. The event took place last Saturday at the entity’s headquarters, which already looks like a true blaugrana sanctuary and aims to become a meeting point for all Barça fans in the town. The penya’s president, Maiol Hidalgo, acted as the main host for attendees, who were able to learn more about how the blaugrana entity operates.
In addition to its social activity, PB Folgueroles will also be active in sport, as it has created a federated futsal team that will compete in the Catalan Football Federation. In this way, the entity also aims to energise local sport and demonstrates its commitment to Folgueroles. Both the Town Council and several local businesses support this new penya.
PB Verín expands culer fever in Galicia
Almost simultaneously, at the other end of the Iberian Peninsula, some 80 culers also gathered to celebrate the birth of a new supporters’ club in the Federación de Galicia, the Peña Blaugrana de Verín, which was also made official this June, thus showed a great ability to bring people together at its inauguration, held as a fellowship lunch. The gathering brought together fans of all ages, with the notable presence of former blaugrana player José Antonio García “Covelo”.
Chaired by Víctor Blanco, PB Verín is born as a blaugrana hub in this town in the province of Ourense, where it hopes to hold many more events and activities that continue to spread Barcelonista passion and values. In this way, it also reinforces the importance of the penyes movement in Galicia, where it has enjoyed a strong tradition for many years.
