PB Ciutadella joins the fight against children’s cancer

Solidarity meeting with the supporters’ clubs of Real Madrid, Mallorca and Bray Wanderers, together with Atlètic Ciutadella

Penya Barcelonista de Ciutadella (Federació Balears) participated last Friday in the 1st Solidarity Meeting of Penyes de Ciutadella, which brought together different supporters’ clubs of the Minorcan town, as well as the local team. In addition to the blaugrana entity, participated the Peña Madridista de Ciutadella, the Penya Mallorquinista de Ciutadella, the Bray Wanderers Ciutadella Supporters and Atlètic Ciutadella. Promoted by the latter two, the meeting took place at the Camp Municipal de Sant Antoni, where about 200 people gathered throughout the morning.

In benefit of Aspanob

The day began with a friendly 7-a-side football tournament with PB Ciutadella, its Real Madrid and Irish counterparts, and Atlètic Ciutadella. Beyond colors and results, the matches showed the good relationship that unites all participating entities, so the good atmosphere always reigned.

During the tournament, a solidarity raffle was held thanks to the collaboration of entities and individuals of Ciutadella, who contributed with the different raffled prizes. All the money raised, as well as the tickets for the solidarity paella that took place at noon, added up to over 1,600 euro, which went to the Aspanob Foundation, which works to improve the quality of life of children with cancer and provide support for their families.

40th anniversary

The participation of the PB Ciutadella in this meeting is part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the supporters’ club, which is commemorated this year 2024. Throughout the coming months, the organization has planned other events and activities such as a paddle tournament, a talk with journalists and, of course, the great final anniversary party.
