The Penya Blaugrana Foment Martinenc (Federació Barcelonès Est) continues to demonstrate its commitment to promoting Barça values and social cohesion through participatory activities aimed at supporters of all ages. The last few weeks have been especially busy for the penya from Barcelona’s Sant Martí district, which, as always, combines the Barça spirit with culture, sport and community life.
First, last week saw the prize-giving ceremony for the Children’s Drawing Contest, a well-established initiative within PB Foment Martinenc’s participation in its neighbourhood’s Spring Festivities. This initiative aims to encourage children’s creativity while strengthening their sense of belonging to the blaugrana colours. The young participants expressed their passion for Barça in their drawings, and Matilda and Roi were ultimately recognised for their talent and originality.
The 5th Petanque Championship, a resounding participation success
Meanwhile, last Saturday PB Foment Martinenc held its 5th Petanque Championship at the La Cènia Petanque Courts. The day unfolded in a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie, and members of other entities such as PB Les Corts, PB Congrés and PB Sant Adrià de Besòs joined the organising penya. Their presence strengthens ties between penyes and shows the power of these activities to bring Barça supporters together beyond football. This harmony and good atmosphere defined the championship, beyond the winners themselves.

The 10th Literary Contest is now under way
In addition to these initiatives, PB Foment Martinenc has already launched its most popular proposal: the Literary Contest, which this year reaches its 10th edition. All those interested in taking part in this short-story contest about Barça can now submit their entries, with 11 September as the deadline. As usual, prizes for the winners will be presented at the end of November, coinciding with the celebration of PB Foment Martinenc anniversary.
