The Federació de Penyes Barcelonistes del Bages, el Berguedà i la Cerdanya experienced a weekend with a double dose of celebrations. Two of its member entities, the Penya Barcelonista de Puigcerdà and the Penya Bagà Blaugrana, respectively commemorated their anniversaries by bringing together members and friends for festive days marked by Blaugrana unity. Both events were supported and attended by Antoni Valverde, president of the Federació de Penyes Barcelonistes del Bages, el Berguedà i la Cerdanya.
55th anniversary of the PB Puigcerdà
The PB Puigcerdà began the celebration of its 55th anniversary with the traditional mass at the Chapel of Our Lady of Grace. This was followed by a welcome reception for all attendees at the penya headquarters, located in the center of the town of the Cerdanya region. Outside, a “sardanes” dance was held and, afterwards, indoors, the events continued with a performance of habanera songs and a small refreshment for everyone. The celebration then moved to the Park Hotel in Puigcerdà, where the central event of the 55th anniversary of PB Puigcerdà took place, with around 50 people in attendance.
As is tradition, the entrance of the penyistes before lunch was accompanied by the sound of the Barça anthem played on the trumpet. The event was attended by Pere Domingo, president of the PB Puigcerdà; Paco Nieto, member of the Agrupació de Jugadors del FC Barcelona; Ignasi Montagut, member of the Club’s Social Commission; and Joan Manel Serra, mayor of Puigcerdà; as well as the aforementioned Antoni Valverde. Also present were the PB Bagà, the PB Manresa, the PB Santpedor and the PB Mataró, the latter led by Ramon Pruna, president of the Federació de Penyes del Maresme. A great atmosphere prevailed throughout the entire day.

30th anniversary of the PB Bagà
The following day, the celebrations moved to the Berguedà region, where the Penya Bagà Blaugrana commemorated its 30 years of history. On this occasion, the barcelonista entity brought together 150 people at the Casal de la Vila, in an event that exceeded all expectations and achieved great participation. In attendance were Marta Montañà, president of the PB Bagà; Antonio Olmo, member of the Agrupació de Jugadors del FC Barcelona; and the aforementioned Antoni Valverde, representing the Federació del Bages, el Berguedà i la Cerdanya. There was also a strong presence from the Bagà Town Council, led by Mayor Lluís Casas. The PB Avinyó, from the same federation, also took part in the celebration.
During the celebratory lunch, the traditional speeches were delivered, gifts were raffled among those present, and a commemorative souvenir was handed out to attendees. In addition, Antoni Valverde presented a gift to the president of the PB Bagà. The celebration, which stood out for the presence of many young people, lasted for much of the day and was capped off with a Barça victory away at Osasuna. Currently, the PB Bagà has 725 members, a remarkable figure considering that the town barely exceeds 2,000 inhabitants.
