Plenary meeting of the Penyes Council to kick off the new season

The meeting, which combined face-to-face and online formats, brought together more than 30 representatives of the territorial Federations of FC Barcelona supporters’ clubs.

The Confederació Mundial de Penyes held last Saturday a new Plenary Meeting of its Penyes Council. The meeting, which was attended by more than 30 representatives of the territorial federations of Barcelona supporters’ clubs, had a hybrid format: approximately half of the attendees were physically present at the headquarters of the Confederació, while the rest were connected telematically.

With this Plenary Meeting, the blaugrana organization launched the activity of the new season at an institutional level. The projects to be promoted for the penyes movement were reviewed and the focus was placed on the work of the three commissions (Sociocultural; Institutional and Services; Economic and Marketing) and their respective sub-commissions. All of them face the new season ready to continue providing service and added value to the supporters’ clubs through the different areas of work (events, activities, solidarity, services, operations, facilities, etc.).

On the other hand, those attending the Plenary once again ratified the willingness of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes to help and collaborate with the Club in everything that can benefit the entity, its members, fans, as well as the supporters’ club collective.

Forthcoming meetings of the sub-committees

The meeting also served to begin scheduling the respective meetings of the working sub-committees. First ones to do so, this week and next week, are those of the Institutional and Services Commission, and then the others will follow in succession. The conclusions of these meetings, as well as other issues, will be discussed at a new plenary session to be held at the end of October.

With all of this, the Confederació Mundial de Penyes del FC Barcelona continues to work so that the penyes movement, which brings together more than 1,250 supporters clubs and 160,000 supporters club members -of which 18,000 are FC Barcelona members-, continues to advance and consolidate itself as a reference in European football.
