The Federació de Penyes Tarragona Nord recently held a new ordinary assembly with the participation of 18 penyes from the area, with the PB L’Espluga de Francolí as a host. During the meeting, chaired by Josep Borrull, president of the Tarragona Nord, several amendments to the federació statutes were approved by an absolute majority, and the new funding model was also discussed. In this case, since the vote ended in a tie, a new vote will be held at another assembly scheduled for September. This upcoming meeting will also address the electoral process in the territorial federations.
Another key item on the agenda was the preparation of the 22nd Meeting of Penyes of Tarragona Nord. Although there is no definitive date yet, it is known that the event will take place between late September and early October and will be hosted by the PB Hospitalet de l’Infant, coinciding with its 35th anniversary. Additionally, it was announced that PB Ulldemolins will celebrate its 15th anniversary on September 20, and as part of the event, the first session of the conference series “Barça i Catalunya: Els orígens de la simbiosi” will be presented by Salva Torres, vice president of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes.
