The Penya Blaugrana de Sant Cugat (Federació de Penyes del Vallès), with the collaboration of the City Council, recently organized its 2nd Adapted 7-a-side Football Tournament, played at the Can Magí Municipal Football Field. The event was attended by seven teams, one more than in its first edition, and brought together more than 80 players of different ages, thus consolidating itself as a true celebration of adapted football in the town of Sant Cugat del Vallès. It also underlines the strong commitment of the PB Sant Cugat with inclusive football.
The seven participating teams were Cerdanyola FC Catalònia Fundació Creactiva, Associació Arc de Sant Martí de Martorell, Aspasur Ripollet Catalònia Fundació Creactiva, Prodis de Terrassa, CFU Mira-sol Baco Catalònia Fundació Creactiva, Maresme Catalònia Fundació Creactiva and Penya Blaugrana Sant Cugat Taller Jeroni de Moragas. All of them enjoyed a sports and social day marked by an atmosphere of inclusion and fun, and that is part of the program of activities for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3) organized by the City of Sant Cugat.
The awards ceremony, with medals for all participants and trophies for all teams, was chaired by Josep Maria Vallès, mayor of Sant Cugat; Ferran Felius, head of the Commissioner for People with Disabilities of the City Council; Nuria Escamilla, Councillor for Sports and Culture; Albert Foz, vice president of CFU Mirasol Baco; Jordi Durà, representative of Dincat and the Agrupació de Jugadors del FC Barcelona; Jordi Palau, president of Futbol Sala Sant Cugat; and Josep Maria Félez, president of Penya Blaugrana Sant Cugat, accompanied by its vice president Pau Pulido.
