Once again, this year, the FC Barcelona supporters’ clubs demonstrated the strong bond that unites the blaugrana passion with the Catalan feelings. Last Monday, on the National Day of Catalonia, many supporters’ clubs wanted to participate, along with other entities and organizations, in the events organized around the territory to commemorate this special day for all Catalans.
Some of the supporters’ clubs that mobilized were the PB Almogàvers and the PB Nostra Ensenya (Federació Barcelonès Oest), together with the PB Sang Culé (Federació Barcelonès Est), who came to the Fossar de les Moreres in Barcelona to make a floral offering. For its part, the PB Les Corts (Fed. Barcelonès Oest) visited the Monument to General Moragues.
Also made floral offerings in their respective localities, the PB Sant Adrià de Besos (Fed. Barcelonès Este), the PB Sant Andreu de la Barca (Fed. Baix Llobregat), the PB Breda (Fed. Gironès, Selva, Garrotxa and Pla de l’Estany), the PB Almogàvers Empordà (Fed. Empordà i Catalunya Nord), the PB Sant Cugat (Fed. Vallès), the PB Sitges (Fed. Anoia, Alt Penedès i Garraf) and the PB Mataró and the PB Tordera (Fed. Maresme), among many others.
Exporting the “Diada”
The role of the penyes as ambassadors for FC Barcelona around the world also takes on a special meaning every 11 September, when many blaugrana entities of the FCB World Federation celebrate the “Diada” in their respective cities. Among all of them, the penyes that are part of or collaborate with the Catalan Centers in the countries where they are established stand out. In this way, the supporters’ clubs contribute not only to exporting the passion for Barça worldwide, but also to disseminating the values and history of Catalonia.
